Empowering Minds, Shaping Futures: The Transformative Role of Education in Achieving Gender Equality | Original Article
ABSTRACT
Gender
equality stands as a significant challenge for developing nations in the 21st
century. In many sectors of society, girls, women, and individuals of other
gender identities are often perceived as weaker or less significant. Within
male-dominated cultures, men typically wield control over the socio-economic
status of women. Conversely, due to economic constraints, women often find
themselves dependent on men for support. Empowering women and individuals of
all gender identities emerges as the primary avenue for achieving gender equality.
Education serves as a catalyst for gender equality reform by promoting
awareness, empowerment, equal opportunities, leadership development, prevention
of violence, policy advocacy, cultural transformation, and intersectional
understanding. Investing in education is essential for achieving sustainable
and inclusive gender equality.
